Revelop has signed a 1,600 square meter lease in newly acquired cold storage facility

Gothenburg, 5 March: Swedish real estate investor Revelop has signed a ten-year lease agreement with the meat wholesaler Norvida for the rental of a 1,576-square-meter cold storage asset in prime industrial location Mölnlycke, outside Gothenburg. The asset in question was acquired in 2024 as part of Revelop’s latest value-add fund.

Revelop is an active investor in the Swedish real estate market and, in its latest value-add fund, with commitments exceeding SEK 3.8 billion, has acquired approximately 20 properties worth around SEK 1.6 billion over the past twelve months. The property Solsten 1:146 was acquired in the third quarter of 2024.

”We are very pleased to welcome Norvida as a new tenant. The lease creates a long-term sustainable and suit to purpose asset in close and positive dialogue with the tenant. With this lease, the asset is now fully occupied,” said Alexander Olofsson, Real Estate Manager at Revelop.

Norvida is a leading importer and wholesaler of high-quality meat for the Nordic market, offering brands such as Naturkött, Köttkultur, Happy Chef, Johns’, Evryday, and Reserva365. Founded in Stockholm in 1990, the company now operates across the entire Nordic region.

”The premises in Mölnlycke are a perfect fit for our operations. The location is excellent, with close proximity to central Gothenburg and other densely populated areas. Additionally, we see great potential to grow and develop our business within the existing space”, said Jörgen Levin, CEO at Norvida.

Revelop seeks to invest in assets that can be future proofed through various ESG initiatives, taking them from “brown to green”, including significant reduction in carbon footprint, improved energy performance and environmental certifications as well as creating positive social impact. The plan for Solsten 1:146 is to reduce the building’s energy consumption and, consequently, its CO2 emissions through the installation of solar panels, a new efficient ventilation system with smart controls, and the replacement of older cooling units.
